From the moment I met these two beautiful souls I knew something magical has happened the day they met. Wendy and Jim share a love so deep , you can feel it just by being in their presence. It was definitely written in the stars for them to one day join hands and become one.

So happy I had the privilege of sharing their wedding day. The day started out at the Delta Hotel with getting ready pictures of the couple - then we walked over to St. Mary’s Cathedral for their First Ceremony. Followed by a late lunch at the Elephant & Castle before we headed out to their Reception at The Evergreen Village just outside Niverville.

Despite for the pouring rain we managed to get some amazing pictures before their 2nd ceremony started. After that the reception started and I have never felt such a whirlwind of emotions, from heartfelt speeches , over to one of the most emotional mother daughter dances I’ve ever witnessed (thank goodness for waterproof mascara) , to the funniest dance moves in the history of dance.

I had an amazing day being a part of your wedding day Wendy & Jim and I wish you guys only the best for your future as Mr. & Mrs. Santelice.

Deer Meadow Farms Styled Wedding Photos

Styled Shoot - Deer Meadow Farms

Photos & Styling by Peggy

Deer Meadow Farms is located just a few minutes east of Winnipeg, nestled on 80 acres just across the floodway from Transcona, making it convenient for guests staying in hotels along the Regent strip or guests from the city. On your way in you will be greeted by the cutest little goats , lambs & mini horses.

The 80 acre farm boasts some amazing features such as the ‘High Barn’ and ‘Wild West Pavilion’ for wedding receptions up to 150 with loft and private spaces for the wedding party. The Wild West Pavilion features a western front with an upper level and barn board walls and accent lighting. There is nothing like this anywhere in Manitoba. All dressed up it’s nothing short of spectacular. The courtyard between the two buildings is also lit with swag lights should guests head outdoors for some fresh air.

The farm also features 25 acres of secluded, wooded areas for your outdoor ceremony that brings you close to nature. A wagon train will transport your guests to these areas during their summer season. There are also plenty of farm animals around.

All weddings hosted at the farm allow the bride and groom the opportunity to decide on everything and make the day their own. That includes choice of caterer, DJ, photographer, decor and decorations, wedding planners, etc. They have some of the friendliest staff that will help set up all your tables & chairs.

Deer Meadow Farms hosts thousands of guests annually and they know how to provide good service for their guests.

This mini styled shoot was literally put together in a week and I cannot thank my amazing vendors enough for your hard work and willingness to be a part of it. I am one of the luckiest girls around knowing each of you and knowing that I can count on you all to bring my vision to life.

Wedding at Fort Gibraltar Winnipeg | Courtney & Scott

Wedding at Fort Gibraltar Winnipeg

Fort Gibraltar Wedding Photographer Peggy

Courtney and Scott, were simply meant to be. It was a serendipitous meeting on the day they met. The story is if it had not been for Courtney’s grandmother, who was ill in hospital at the time, that they may never have met at all! You see, Scott was Courtney’s grandmothers nurse, and not only did he help heal her back to health he literally swept Courtney off her feet.

Love at first sight is something that has to be believed in, kismet played its hand and when they met it had been prewritten in the stars. From that moment on they have found love, laughter and everything in between. A daughter Brynlee followed and a furry friend who stole my heart Hershey ; are what completes this perfect little family.

The day of their wedding was filled with so much laughter, it turned out to be a little blustery, but that did not stop anyone from having a truly memorable day.  Axe Throwing was another highlight and  The girls out played the boys, just saying! A memorable highlight was watching Courtney chase after her veil in high heels and dress, nothing stops this gal from having her day! Laughter filled the air as the music played and smiles were laid all around.

We live in a world that travels by so very fast. Photography takes away all the sound, gives you time to pause, reflect and dream, helps you realize that moment that has been captured. Captured, happy festive memories is my way of giving back to you all.

Winnipeg Best Western Plus Wedding | Tayler & Zach

Winnipeg Best Western Plus Wedding

Taylor & Zach, met, fell in love and started their happy lives together. Today, at the Best Western Plus in Winnipeg, was a union of two very special people.

Laughter flowed as we started at Lower Fort Garry where the weather played on our side. The clouds rolled by, as the wind picked up making for some very dramatic pictures.

Next stop the Legislative building, a powerful piece of architecture, I find this building is always so beguiling. Our final stop was at the Best Western Hotel for the ceremony & Reception, much love was apparent, many tears and so much laughter.

One point I would like to say is that I have been elevated before and will probably be again, but being a part of something truly so emotional as the message from Zach’s mother was really unsurpassable. There was not a dry eye in the house, including mine. A memory I will keep inside always.

I love this life, I am honored to be a part of all weddings. Personally, I feel like I am always catching my breath and saying “Oh! Look at that?” I find photography is my way of bearing witness to the shear joy I find in seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary. Capturing the single moment, that memory, is what makes my life so complete. We at the collective always say, ‘you don’t look for pictures, your pictures are looking for you!’

A Mothers love

A mother’s love shone through this day,

The day we said I do.

With tears in our hearts, and our souls united,

Becoming one, was all so true.

Our two souls connected like no other,

In thinking of our mother,

I ask you this my sweet love,

To love me all my days,

Our hopes, our dreams, will always be

Together, as one and free.
