Winter Wedding at Fort Gibraltar | Laura & Josh

Winter Wedding at Fort Gibraltar

These two got married on a Monday - and not just any Monday - a Monday where we had the biggest snowfall and blizzard like conditions so far the entire winter. Needles to say - with schools being cancelled , and Laura being a teacher - she had her entire class match the ceremony in the church online.

After the ceremony we headed to Aspire Studios to take some pictures. Perfect location right in the heart of the Exchange District. Great indoor location in the winter when its too cold to take pictures outside and also a great location in the summer - just to get out of the heat a little and perhaps a backup location for when it rains. With 4 studios to choose from - each of them very different , this is a very unique and cost effective option for your wedding day.

Fort Gibraltar has always been among some of my favourite venues - but to see it in the winter - just made me fall in love with it even more. It surely was a winter wonderland - and if it was warmer we would’ve probably spent a lot more time shooting outside.

Laura & Josh, thank you for inviting me into your lives and making me a part of your Wedding Day. This was such a special day and a I could not be any happier for you.

Kaila and Jordan tied the knot at the stunning Hitch N Post Ranch on a gorgeous late September day. It was sunny, warm and clear, as the week of snow decided to give us a well needed break.

A ceremony filled with heartfelt emotions, including a wonderful speech by Kaila’s mother, all about love and living life together as one, was the perfect way to celebrate their love.

We laughed and danced our way through the evening, surrounded by their close family and friends, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the evening photographing and dancing with these two amazing people (Kaila’s Backstreet Boys dance moves far outshone mine) . I am beyond overjoyed that I can call these two amazing souls my friends now as well.

Wishing you both all the best in your marriage, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of you!

Evelyn & Jordan’s wedding was at Evergreen Village last month. What a beautiful story on how these two met. Online gaming…

Jordan decided to invite this girl to Winnipeg for a visit - and from the moment they met in person - he knew this is the puzzle piece that has been missing for so many years.

Evelyn moved to Canada earlier this year from the U.S. to start her life with Jordan - and I am so honoured that I was part of their wedding day celebrations.

Wishing you guys all of the best for the future.

The air was thick and the skies hazy from the fires that migrated from the west coast.

Leo Mol on a hot August evening was the perfect backdrop for this intimate, heartfelt ceremony.

Sami and Gerrit, it was a pleasure to document the moments of your story.
