I normally have to drive a minimum of hundred kilometres for a shoot, but this one was a real treat for me because I got picked up and dropped off, thanks to Jay and Jill!
I guess you could say I have known these two for a little while. I grew up on a farm two miles away from Jason and our lives barely crossed paths until about six years ago when I started dating his brother!
Even though we had to reschedule a few times due to severe weather warnings, I’m happy an overcast sky decided to embrace us, along with purple weeds, tall grass, green wheat and yellow sunflowers. All of the surroundings were just the right amount of texture, colour and soft light for a romantic country shoot located just north of Morris on their family’s farmland. It suited their warm energy and contagious smiles too!
Thanks for the fun evening you two! And for braving the heat wave, the blood suckers and most of all, for believing in my vision even if it meant walking and dancing through thistles! You did not disappoint!
Looking forward to celebrating their wedding with them in a year! Jill will clearly be a drop dead gorgeous bride, and Jason, well… I guess he’ll be alright too!
